Jiyoung Jessica Park (b.1996) is a painter from Seoul, South Korea whose works explore a longing for peace, warmth, and alignment.
Drawing inspiration from images of people, fashion, nature, and interior spaces found online—a visually rich yet often overstimulating environment—Park intentionally turns toward quieter and more intimate ones to spend time with through painting.
For Park, the act of painting mirrors the way she works through the noise and complexity of everyday life, gradually arriving at stillness and balance. Through her use of soft, warm colors, confident brushstrokes, and grounded compositions, she creates works that offer both herself and the viewer a sense of ease, reflection, and pause.
Park earned her BFA in 2020 from Cornell University, College of Art, Architecture, and Planning. Her background in fashion and beauty content creation informs her current painting practice, bringing renewed clarity to her work and approach.
